To question one's worth is sometimes a very sobering experience. Not because doing so would bring you to the conclusion that one's worth is equal to the ratio of true friends and family to general hanger-er-on-er-ers, and really has nothing to do with what we achieve in life (to be explained later)... But because it shows us that in the bigger scheme of life, we are but a grain of sand and therefore subject to the winds of life.
What the....?!?! Where's this heading I hear you scream.
The grain of sand doesn't care where life takes it. We as humans have control over our destiny do we not? Sure, some choices take half a lifetime to bring us to the conclusion of that decision, but they are choices we made, and must live with. Is it worth creating stress to deal with the consequences?
So how do we deal with those consequences when they occur? In my observations, most of us do stress, and over the smallest things at times. Could it be regret for a badly made choice? Blame rears its ugly head a lot too, blaming others, pointing a finger. There are numerous world events that have shown this response time and time again.
So what's the point of this article?
Well, if I were an arrogant person, it would be me telling you all to look inward, question what brought you to this point in your lives. But honestly, that's not me. Your lives are yours to live, and ultimatly, there is only one person who's opinion matters in the end, yours. So what is the point?
The point is, I write what I want to write, and hopefully you read it because you want to read it. Either way (whether you like it or not), I hope that you come to that conclusion on your own and not because someone else influenced it.
Hmmm... That's enough of the philosophy, lets get back to the seriousness of making people giggle.
